MARCH MULTIPLICATION CHALLENGE
A few weeks ago we saw a rare sight in our clinic, a family - two parents, four children and a grandmother. This is rare because 1 in 4 people have HIV/AIDS in Malawi and there are 1 million orphans within a population of 12 million people.
Without your help, the Grandmother we saw will be raising her 4 grandchildren alone. We need your support to continue providing vital treatment to parents like this, preventing them dying from HIV/AIDS.
The challenge from Dr. Chris Brooks:
It does not seem that long ago, but I remember another patient that we treated. She was diagnosed with dehydration, severe anaemia, pneumonia and HIV/AIDS.
Our clinical staff gave her treatments, medications, intravenous fluids and food immediately.
Not long after, she was happy and laughing and telling me that she was taking her medications.
Then she knelt on the ground, not being subservient just polite, and said in Chichewa
“Thank you Lifeline, for saving my life”.
Thanks to donations, we are able to provide these HIV positive people a second chance at life.
Lifeline Malawi needs your urgent assistance for this program to continue. If you are able to donate in any way, I will be able to share more stories like these.
Blessings and kindest regards to you all,
Chris
