Today the Canadian team from Lifeline Malawi were on hand at the Calgary YMCA's Annual Peace Medal Awards to receive the Humanitarian Award on behalf of Dr. Chris Brooks, our founder and president, for his work in Malawi over the past eleven years.
Although many times, Dr. Brooks has stated “Give us the tools and you and I’ll get it done” , there would be no Lifeline Malawi for us to be involved with if Dr. Brooks had not acted in the way he did, trusting in God and doing good.
Please therefore join in our celebrations today for this great acknowledgement of his work, his hands and feet delivering the peace, hope and healing to a nation so much in need. Dr. Brooks was profiled with all other 2009 recipients in the Calgary Herald today, Wednesday November 18th.
